BIU goes carbon Neutral and is the first credited carbon neutral UK utility consultancy.
As the impact of carbon emissions into the atmosphere grows and as scientists become increasingly convinced that carbon dioxide levels are directly attributing to the increase in global atmospheric temperatures ( Global warming), BIU has invested and become the first credited carbon neutral UK utility consultancy.
To achieve this status, BIU (British Independent Utilities) has completely cancelled the negative impact of carbon dioxide emissions on the environment by investing in carbon dioxide offsetting.
The process of offsetting is investing the financial equivalent into projects that are designed to combat the increase in carbon dioxide emissions and technology projects looking into long term solutions.
The investment in offsetting has been undertaken to cancel the negative effect of BIU’s direct business operations. Now that BIU has been accredited with a neutral status, the company will be looking into ways on becoming carbon positive and advising clients further on obtaining carbon neutral status. |
