Energy Eye - Oil/Coal Report
provide some timely relief to the oil
market, as prices briefly fell during
the middle of last week. However,
news of the Grangemouth pensions
negotiation breakdown , along with a
drop in output from Nigeria, the
world's eighth largest exporter,
toward the end of the week saw
prices close the week at new record
highs - $117.56 per barrel for Brent
Crude. Tensions in the Middle-East
have escalated between the US and
Iran, with reports that a US cargo ship, contracted by the US army to
carry military cargo to Kuwait, fired
at Iranian boats.
